Can you talk more of the racism? I am German by descent but I am also very Brazilian (dna wise but I was born in the USA) and I look like it. I get a lot of people saying that I look Persian because of my skin color and bone structure if that helps you paint a mental picture. I am thinking of moving to Germany because otherwise I feel like I would fit very well into the culture ( I am autistic) but I can almost never tell when someone is being rude or curious again because I am autistic. Would this land me in bad situations in Germany? How might this affect me? I know that Germany has different areas and different.. beliefs according to each area but it’d be really interesting to hear about the general experience.

This is really interesting. I had a French professor who was a native speaker and have a German professor who is a native speaker. The French professor mentioned they have a bit of a dialect and where they came from maybe 2 or 3 times over a semester, and my German professor has mentioned where she’s from and her regional dialect too many times to count in only 3 weeks and seems to take it a lot more seriously.

Germans are so observant! I am a first generation American. My family is originally from Bosnia and we had a German exchange student come to our high school and she immediately clocked my German tongue as different than the rest of my peers because I can speak Bosnian. it was impressive!

Not all are well educated and open minded to be honest and some of them believe staying in germany is much enough for traveling and going out on holidays!
