@courtsidepress: The 76ers and Flyers have officially released the first renderings of their proposed new arena in South Philadelphia, which will be built on the site of the former Spectrum. The design pays tribute to both the Spectrum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, featuring stacked exterior bands and large entrance stairs inspired by the iconic Rocky Steps. The plans also include more than half an acre of outdoor space with food, beverage and fan entertainment areas. The arena is expected to open in 2030 and will become home to the 76ers, Flyers and Philadelphia’s future WNBA franchise.
