I had a friend that was coloured (South African mixed-ish) and she’d constantly make snide remarks about other dark skinned people around us. That time I’m VERY dark 😭. I had to end it.

That is Colourism which is learned. You do not need a friend like this. Some people of lighter complexions seem to think they are better than people of darker complexions.

As a dark skinned female I too have had the colourism comments from friends and even family. OP needs to talk to her about her feelings and move on. No further discussion, Jay has probably learned this behavior from home.

this hurts, I have experienced it and I highly recommend that she speaks up and if the friend doesn't change, then let them go, you can't have people in your circle who constantly bring up anything about you and rub it in your face ....those are haters

There's colorism and ethnicism or xenophobia maybe going on here... I'm not sure of the correct term, because OP's "friend" bring up her origin as a slur. So she have a problem with OP complexion and disrespect her origin too? That's too much. OP should protect her peace by distancing herself from that person.
