As someone who is currently rebuilding a relationship with someone that I, myself, messed up, it’s worth the time and effort to fix it. It will be an uphill battle for quite a bit but I think if you love them it’s all worth it.

I can’t rebuild the relationship I lost.. her feelings were so hurt that she just can’t have a relationship with someone who hurt her. I’ve taken accountability and tried to rebuild the relationship and the trust, but her feelings are so hurt that trying to move past this feels like we’re sweeping it under the rug to her so she’ll always bring up the fact that I hurt her so we’ll never be able to move on. Idk how else to tell her that I’m not dismissing it, cause I’m not. So therefore, that relationship is broken beyond repair, so as much as it hurt me, I had to let it go for her sanity, she doesn’t deserve to be reminded of what happened between us.

Yea I had patience held accountability but had to walk away because I couldn’t take the physical and emotional abuse anymore! Choosing to walk away because I heard something inside me say do you want your son to be like him NO do you want your daughters to find someone like him NO! I miss and will always love him because of him I RAN TO GOD AND WAS FULLY TRANSFORMED!!!

Trust is not something small nor little. Although, I agree if trust is broken it is hard to rebuild but minimizing trust to be something minuscule or easily broken is appalling. I think breaking trust takes effort and intent. Trust shouldn’t be something so fragile in a genuine relationship.
