and as well, AI didn't just exhibit random text speech habits out of nowhere. for it to use certain text, like the emdash (—), actual humans had to have commonly used it enough for AI data training to see it as useful. the thing, there is no "true" way of detecting AI except those who do use it explicitly mention that they do.

I somewhat agree, but AI is evolving (both writing and pictures), and is trained off human text and photos. I agree that constant exposure to AI is desensitising humans and we are picking it up (no flame pls)

The reason why AI is blending in is because they train off real human writing/art etcetera, and unfortunately it is increasingly getting better

i can confirm this. my mother is starting to talk like ai in her everyday speech. she dropped out in 5th grade and she's using words she never would've known before. she talks to ai like it's a real person on the daily. like chatgpt, not a character-specific chatbot. that itself is insane and she's mimicking the responses she's getting.

AI is training off of fanfiction, that's why it's getting SO HARD to tell. Fanfiction was flawed but well-explained, the quirks to give better explanation to give better visualization. AI copies this, and the obvious fanfiction writing (which in the past you could tell someone was a fanfic writer because of it) becomes dumbed down to something only AI writes.
