For those questioning like I was, despite soothes internal side chain, he is sculpting its detector much more aggressively by using the power of the eq via key input. I have never once found sooth useful for harsh vocals, this is a much better way to get it to perform. If we were happy inserting it directly on the track we would do that. Interesting way to get it working man! Hats off!!

Maybe I'm wrong but Soothe is actually doing its own internal sidechain process. No need to do it manually by duplicating the track
