Totally false. I deposited those elements down there

Interesting if mutations in primate DNA caused by such an event caused humans

To think of it, it's actually insane! We have iron from another star that literally flew through space and hit the Earth!

How long would it have taken for the iron 60 to arrive on earth?

does that mean all interplanetary rocky/icy objects in the solar system has a layer with that iron to this day?

I don’t get it… high energy particles will arrive in 150 years from that supernova… how long will it take for radioactive atoms of iron to arrive? How much of those atoms can a supernova create son they deposit and can be measured on earth? It doesn’t seem convincing to me

Wait….if we saw the light from the supernova 2.6M years ago we wouldn’t be receiving the matter from that explosion until much later

wouldn't the element arrived later then the light of the supernova?

It always amazes me how good we are at reconstructing such complex and ancient events.

how do we know supernova insurance companies didn't pay you to make this? "could be related to mass extinction" feels like something a supernova insurance salesman would say

Could the exposure to that cause genetic mutations in dna related to the evolutionary shift to the genus Homo seen between 3 and 2 million years ago?

Ancient Japan and China (around 1000AD) have documented a super nova visible in the night sky, it lasted about a year or two, then faded.
