the stainless steel one is better. it's more bacteria resistant and the cord being in the water is a non-issue because it's a sealed submersible pump

I clean the bowl every 2-3 days to avoid slime build up and refill w fresh water everyday for my cats ! They are healthy and loved and i save $$$$ 🥰😁

All you need to do to get rid of the “slime” is to cut off a 2-3” small pipe of copper and put it into the tank, and it gets rid of it. You only just have to change out the water once a week. It’s worked for years with mine currently. We also only wash the filters by hand. It’s just a plastic divider that traps particles in mine 😂

Any electronic submerged are protected from shock or any hazard you can think of. Your cat or dog will not Die. It cannot get shocked so please do not be Afraid of this if it’s water based electronics.
