@anasabdin: Tango Celeste Alle Fondamenta Nove Some artworks stay with you long after you first encounter them. I have always admired Eclisse di sole alle Fondamenta Nove by Ippolito Caffi, the strange, almost dreamlike atmosphere of Venice during an eclipse, where the sky, water, architecture, and light seem to exist somewhere between reality and memory. I wanted to revisit that feeling through a medium from a completely different era. So I recreated the scene as a pixel art animation. Not as a literal reproduction, but as my own interpretation: a modern animation of a 19th-century painting, rendered in retro pixels, modern relative to Caffi's time, yet retro relative to today's high-resolution digital art. There is something beautiful about translating an artwork across centuries and technologies. Caffi captured a fleeting celestial event with paint. I tried to capture that same fleeting feeling with pixels, limited colors, and animation. Different tools. Different century. Same fascination with light.
