Private equity firms kill businesses, they ate trying to get Kohls, if they do, they will go bankrupt like the other ones they acquire, they start by closing stores and selling the real estate, then they rent themselves at high rates, the stores can’t pay and then they start closing and filing for bankruptcy, its the playbook for decades.

Mexico locations offer lots of better brands like Polo and such. In the US they offered brands that were poorly received and not great. Sears also priced its items higher than other stores in the mall like Penney’s and even Macys on some items.
