@theportfoliocareercoach: I recognized myself in all ten. That was a hard day. You can spot a woman who has been strong for too long by these 10 weird behaviors. (From personal experience) 1️⃣ She laughs when she talks about painful things. She learned a long time ago it makes people more comfortable. 2️⃣ She apologizes for needing things. Rest, help, time, space. The need feels like an inconvenience she has no right to have. 3️⃣ She asks "are you okay" more than she ever says she is not. 4️⃣ She minimizes her own problems before she finishes the sentence. "It's fine. It's not even that deep." 5️⃣ She cries alone. Always alone. 6️⃣ She is everyone's emergency contact. She has not called hers in years. 7️⃣ She fixes things before anyone notices they were broken. Then wonders why nobody sees how much she holds. 8️⃣ She downplays every win. Not out of modesty. She just does not want anyone to feel uncomfortable around her success. 9️⃣ She says "I'm just tired" when tired stopped covering it months ago. 🔟 She is the most capable person in the room.
