I was the softest person going into nursing. Like bend over backwards to make people happy. Now? "You have a brain and functioning legs, you know where to go fill your cup of water and the snack fridge". I will make sure you are safe and receiving proper care, but I have been hardened by this profession and what it demands of me. It can be overwhelming at times, and priorities change on a dime.

I’ve been both shifts. One thing for sure two for certain. I don’t care if granny outta her head. You not gonna call me outside my name and you ain’t going to act a fool in my face. I’m gentle and easy going but I can turn to a cowboy reaaaallll fast when that disrespect come out.
