can't believe I got it..but in a different manner .Same idea. I guess. I imagined a sq encompassing just one circle. using the Pythagorean formula subtracted 2r and divided the remainder by two. then is used Pythagorean again to get the sides and then the area which is 1/4 the area of the red square. times that by 4 and you get 600-400sq root 2. (approx34.31) .
