@bungustore: Pens had a problem for forty years. Oil ink was permanent but dragged and skipped. Water ink was smooth but bled and smeared, and fixing one always broke the other. Then SAKURA, a crayon maker, invented gel ink, an ink that sits in the tube as a soft solid but turns liquid the moment the ball turns, a bit like ketchup in a bottle. Ballsign launched in 1984 and the whole market followed. Because gel ink carries pigment instead of dye, it could finally show up in white, pastel, metallic, glitter, and even on black paper or photos. So your decorated notebook is thanks to a crayon company that set out to fix a pen.
