Decentering men actually led me to deconstructing Christianity. Misogyny is deeply embedded in the Bible, and once I started questioning that, I started questioning everything. It’s one of those threads you pull and suddenly the whole sweater starts unraveling. You have to be ready to do the work once you start pulling.
