The whole time I thought it was gonna be revealed that the original Whisper man almost got the dad when the dad was a kid and that's how the grandpa caught the guy. That would've been a much better explanation as to why they're estranged and traumatized

the worst part of the movie for me is when he sees the gloved hand trying to grab his son and doesn't panic and get the duck out of there, instead he tells his son to go back to his room lol. also what are the odds that he bought the exact house where one of the boy was buried in. I thought they would explain that part but nope. terrible movie
