The only shopping bot I need is one where it automatically purchases when it’s lower than a specific price… the lowest the company is willing to sell. If they figure that one then sure I’ll give them my wishlist LOL

this stuff is popular with tech companies making ai because they can only think of things they would use it for and the regular tech bro is only interested in having clothing that covers them and food that keeps them alive longer. They don't care or know about fashion or any of the work that goes into comparing sales and whether that hem is worth the 50dollar price tag. Tech people finding human needs ANNOYING and want to outsource it and they keep pushing that on us

The example being school supply shopping is also sadly telling. Either they view taking their child school supply shopping as a meaningless chore (vs a way to connect with their child, see their joy/personality, or create a ritual) or they never enjoyed school supply shopping for themselves and don’t understand why anyone would (again missing out on all of the above)
