This is a mess I currently work for child support. He is not wrong the courts are so messed up. When you go from one state to another just makes it even worse. I’m so sorry that you have to deal with it!

I feel like they were running state to state for other reasons not just from you. Like something they had been doing that was wrong. Cuz no one moves that much just to get away from an ex.

as a child, who’s mother did this EXACT thing. Please never stop trying, I can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear that my father DIDN’T hate me. And wanted me the whole time, but my mother TOOK that from me so selfishly. I love my father, and he’s been more beneficial in my life than my mother could’ve EVER been. My father tried CONSTANTLY to see my brother and i, and my mother moved us around and hid us. It’s completely and utterly heartbreaking, a father’s role is VERY important to a growing boy. My brother, I love him with all of my heart. But without a father, he hasn’t had the best life. He deserved his dad, just like i did, and just like YOU deserve your son.

Another contempt that I see would have been if you’re paying child support and you had set visitation through the court and she was no abiding by that then that would have been custodial interference but again I too went through a lot of this and the custody and child support thing os most definitely a broken system rigged against the father one hundred percent but I wish you luck and I hope this has a happy ending

Colorado is terrible! My husband had the same issue, she left state and moved every time he tried to get a hearing for contempt to get visitation back. But the world ends if he late on a child support payment. 🙄🤦🏼♀️

She kept moving so the state it was originally filed doesn’t matter. He would have had to file whatever the child lives. It’s sad really some men gets the shitty end of the deal

I just had to pay an attorney to file a shared parenting plan that I tried to file myself but was denied because I didn’t have an attorney. We don’t have to go to court. It will be signed by a judge and we will be sent the judgement in the mail. We both agree on everything. Luckily I found a cheap enough attorney that would file what could have done myself for $550. I had to penny pinch for 3 months to even come up with the money. Anyone saying that he could have “done more” no he really couldn’t. You have to have a never ending bank account in family court.

I deliver mail and we occasionally get child support forms to fill out. They’ll check to see if a certain person is still at an address or if they’ve moved. It’s totally realistic for people to completely outrun the system on both sides.
