I was 23 and working my first big girl corporate job. The office was ALL women. I was hated from the beginning. They purposely excluded me, rude, snarky, and backhanded compliments. I could hear them whispering about me constantly. They hated that I used my lunch break to go to the gym and come back to work. They hated that I wouldn’t eat fast food with them everyday because I brought my own lunch. After a year there I got let go because I “didn’t seem to be a good fit.” I went to HR with ALL my evidence. I had audio recordings of their behavior (they went to strip clubs together), I had photos as well, and I logged all the incidences. HR gave me a $10,000 severance after I reported everything. I took my money and left. GOOD RIDDANCE! I’m now 37 and I have a daughter. I will tell her the same! 💕
