@spiritbroods: 🔥 “Sin takes the word out of you; but the word will take sin out of you.” – W. F. Kumuyi William Folorunso Kumuyi (born June 6, 1941) is a Nigerian pastor, Bible teacher and evangelist whose ministry has rested on one great confidence: the Word of God is still able to save, sanctify and send men into the world for Christ. Born in Erin-Ijesha, Osun State, into an Anglican home, he drifted from church life while at school. On April 5, 1964, he came to a clear experience of conversion and began drinking deeply from Scripture and writers such as Wesley, Finney and Spurgeon. Kumuyi graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1967 with first-class honours in Mathematics and later became a lecturer at the University of Lagos. In 1973 fifteen young people began meeting in his university flat for Bible study. There was no cathedral and no multitude. There was a man opening the Bible. From that little room grew Deeper Christian Life Ministry and later Deeper Life Bible Church. His preaching has remained marked by salvation from sin, holiness of heart and life, prayer, the power of the Holy Spirit, evangelism and the authority of Scripture. In a 2019 Bible study on the parable of the sower he said, “Sin takes the word out of you; but the word will take sin out of you,” then pointed to Psalm 119:11: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” What began with fifteen spread through thousands of congregations in Nigeria and beyond. Yet Kumuyi has continued to insist that the Great Commission must remain at the heart of the Church. In recent years that burden has taken another form through the Global Crusade with Kumuyi. GCK reports that its evangelistic work has reached more than 180 nations. At eighty-five, Kumuyi was still preaching major crusades in 2026. The years have multiplied and the platforms have grown. But the weapon in his hand has remained the same old sword. Let the Word enter deeply enough, and sin must either surrender its throne or drive the Word away. 🔥 — #WFKumuyi #Quoted #SpiritBroods #WordOfGod #Holiness
