You all made my life wierd! I was the fat funny kid growing up. I learned pretty early that if I could make people laugh, I could usually find my place in the room. Then I spent most of my adult life working construction, remodeling and flipping houses. Swinging hammers, tearing shit apart, putting it back together, and figuring that was probably what I'd do forever. Then about 7 years ago, I lost a bunch of weight. And somewhere along the way, I found something I didn't really have before... Confidence. Enough confidence to throw myself into the wilds of the internet and see what happened. I started telling jokes. Then I started talking about the Lord's lettuce. Then I started teaching people about it. Then I started teaching people how to cook with it. And somehow... y'all kept watching. Which brings us to today. I'm standing in my kitchen cooking a ridiculous amount of different foods because I need pictures for my upcoming book, "Ode to Snackage" a munchies and poetry cookbook. Read that sentence again. The fat funny construction kid grew up and now part of his job is getting elevated, writing poetry, making munchies, taking pictures of them, and putting it all into a damn book. What a weird flippin life! And I mean that in the absolute best possible way. Because none of this happens without you guys. Every view. Every share. Every book you've bought. Every joke you've laughed at. Every recipe you've tried. Every time you've told a friend, "You gotta watch this idiot..." You helped build this weird little life with me. So all in all... Thank you. Thank you for letting me make you laugh. Thank you for letting me teach. Thank you for letting me create. Thank you for giving that fat funny kid enough of an audience to realize maybe being the weird one wasn't such a bad thing after all. I don't know where this weird-ass road goes next...
