honestly what i love so much about the tbr challenge is the recap of what you have read… i don’t necessarily care about the number at the end or if you own them or got them from the library! you should read what you enjoy! i think a lot of us would stay captivated with just recaps of what you read over the week with a count of how many books you have read so far in the year!

I play this comparison game against my past self all the time. And I don’t take into account that past me had way more time, was struggling mentally and had no other hobbies at all. Not a great strategy 😅

You could try doing smaller seasonal tbr challenges next year if that would make it less overwhelming? Like just pick a smaller amount of books you want to read each season / quarter / whatever. It would also allow you to put new books you are more interested in on the tbr more often

i started at the same time and I still have 135 left to go. you are doing amazing and people are not doing as well as you and are taking the joy away! I love these, I hope you continue but understand the need to take a break ❤️

I love the TBR challenge, but it should be fun for you as well. Maybe, if you still want to do it next year, you could do a smaller batch of books - e.g. your priority reads or a themed group of books 🤷♀️

I really enjoyed these videos. I’m new to you, but I enjoy the challenge. I think increasing the number of books sorta tricks you into a sense of urgency. ‘Cause then you’re thinking about omg I have less time with more books. I’m not tired of the series at all.
