7 SEPTEMBER 1996: MY STORY My life was in the night when I died. I didn’t see why I had to die at this age. So many dreams. I still had so much to do. Feels like I had a short life. I had dreams of changing the world. Maybe even be a president. I was trying to change a world that didn’t need my heart. People are living... but they’re anti-living. They’re in a cage but they can’t see the bars. They only see what they’re told. Black and white. Violence. They don’t understand what I see at my age. I know it sounds crazy when I try to speak about it. I was trying to give them light. They don’t understand the system at all. What I created is bigger than me. My own friends. People I trusted... tried to take me out. And I survived 5 shots. I said, _“This time I will speak about it.” Even rap about it. To show them I knew. Something was telling me. My inner voice told me. They were planning my own death. What’s funny is... The people that I showed the game to. How the world really goes. Every night my thoughts wouldn’t let me live.* They told me: _“You have to work harder. You don’t have time.”_ So I was recording. Days and nights. Sometimes 10 songs a day.* *Death or live, my name will live forever. At my early age I wished to have kids. But as time went on, I saw the world for what it is. I told myself: _“I don’t want seeds of me to see this world. It’s too dirty.”_ Night came. I went to see Mike Tyson fight. MGM Grand. Everybody knows I love Mike Tyson. Maybe that was my downfall. Because it was night. They shot me 4 times. I felt it before it happened. But I put my fear aside. I said: _“What’s meant to be, will be.”_ I put my life in God’s hands. That was the end of my life.
