Wash with dish soap and scrub her. Then take the skillet freshly washed and put it on the stove on high. When all the water is evaporated. Turn off the stove. take a paper towel and vegetable oil or whatever oil and grease your pan then wipe up extra oil and sit then she’s ready for next use

Soap and water works just fine. Dry and wipe with some oil after cleaning. Been using this one and washing with soap for 25 years

If you want those crispy parts off, use a salt and sponge scrub then dry and put oil on it before putting it in the oven at a low heat for a lil while

After I finish cooking and eating, I will put water in my cast iron and bring it to a boil. Once it’s cooled off, I dump the water, I scrub it with dawn dish soap and a scotch brite metal sponge. I pat it dry, put it back on the stove for 4 minutes to fully dry off. And lastly, I will oil it. I use any oil I have, olive, avocado, regular vegetable. Doesn’t matter, any oil I will cook with the next day or so. Oil it with what you have so that it doesn’t rust!
