IMO, they filed the lawsuit to PRESERVE any information from being discarded, deleted, destroyed, etc. Under the protection of a lawsuit, all the companies involved shouldn't be changing ANY information, even any relevant social media account information, records, etc and may have to disclose any communications like text, email, etc that can/will be brought to court... Money isn't the primary goal, preserving the historical information is... My condolences to the families and communities that lost one of their own in this tragic incident.

Absolutely agree however I don’t think aircraft age has anything to do with it. Age is not based on years but how many cycles the air frame has been through. Maintenance is more important than age.
