@tamsintheethicaltrader: I'm not here to persuade you to home educate your kids. (But honestly, do. You'll never regret it.) What I am here to say is this: if you went through school, followed the path they told you was the right one: exams, university, job, marriage, kids; and you're sitting here now wondering why your life feels empty, incomplete, like something's missing... school played a significant part in that. We don't have to work a 9 to 5 to make a good living. We don't have to work in an office. We don't have to work for someone else. We don't even have to be in one place. The world doesn't work the way they told us it did. You can make money from anywhere, at any time, doing almost anything; without another qualification, without asking permission, without waiting to be picked. That's what drew me to trading. Because it wasn't always like this. The trading floor was invitation only; select universities, the right families, the right connections. Built to keep most people out. That world is gone. The same tools that were only ever available to a very specific type of person are now available to anyone willing to learn how to use them. So if your life doesn't feel like it's giving you what you want, stop. Not to give up, but to actually choose. Because the path they gave you wasn't built for your life. It was built for the system.
