The simplest solution would be to ask the friend to move her bike. That way they can park on each side. Its a big friend hug. Or like an oreo. The middle bike is the cream.

That happened to me too on a Jeep Cherokee! It was the hood latch. It needed to be tightened back up and then it worked fine! I was shocked it was that but thankful it was an easy fix!
