ocd,bpd,ctpsd,eating disorders it truly is hell but im strong as heck but people really just think ocd is being clean people have no ides about the intrusive thoughts seeing your family die and be tortued and your brain tell you id you dont do xyz that will happen everyday sucks

OCD awareness saved my life during COVID. I developed severe intrusive thoughts before the pandemic hit, and those first few years of not understanding my obsessions and compulsions ruined my life. I wish I’d had the chance to talk to someone sooner about it—especially about the taboo types of OCD. I’m grateful I did my own research and am happy with my progress, but I still get emotional just talking about it. Awareness is important and truly makes the difference between saving someone's life.

just thankyou ♡ ocd has ruled my life, causing me to become housebound, suicidal, treatment resistant, unable to work, having my parents as carers at age 32... its a cruel, completely disabling illness and yet its used as an adjective in every day conversation

I truly don't think people understand what it is and its absolute torture, I live through constant torture everyday and if I stopped and told people about my intrusive thoughts id be bringing it up constantly throughout the whole day , I truly believe the kindest and sweetest people on earth have this and its so so crule!!!!💚💚
