The game has swag. Swinging above an enemy and then shooting down to make a shockwave and then using the gadget to bring them all together and then finishing off with a special move is fun to me. If it’s not your style cool

the four gadgets boil down to stun every enemy in the area and the four abilities on cooldown are glorified finishers. there’s legit no depth, no learning curve, nothing to experiment with

Why are we acting like Insomniac Spider-Man clears every older Spider-Man game? It’s a good game, don’t get me wrong, but combat-wise I don’t think it compares to Web of Shadows or Shattered Dimensions. Those games just did more with their combat and felt way more unique. And Peter doesn’t even use web constructs anymore, which is kinda wack considering that was one of the things that made the combat stand out in the first place

How bout this then? Play the game from start to finish without upgrading Spider-man’s health or strength at all. Then you’ll see how in depth and fun the air combos can be.

Combat actually requires skill expression. Requiring gadget inputs or using environmentals. You can just only press square but you can also day this for dbfz
