i’ve had a shit friend for blaming me for being poor and unable to give back the way she did for me, the thing about friendship that I will never accept. Is that if you expect something in return every single time. it’s no longer a friendship. It’s a transaction. Also, you shouldn’t be gaslighting people just because you did something nice for them.

My mom got diagnosed with cancer and literally none of my friends showed up or even cared. Now none of them are friends because I've bent over backwards to show up for them and they couldn't do the same.

I have mild depression and deal with heavy feelings of isolation. And yet… I ALWAYS show up when I can. I do everything I can for my friends because I know I’ll regret it if I don’t even though everything in me wants to just lay down and be sad
