I had to wait 5 hours the day after attending A&E with crazy abdo pains and a CRP of 116 for the gynae doctor to draw me a diagram showing how periods work?? Endo had already been confirmed by MRI and I was on waiting list for an op. I'm 44. I know how periods work...I was speechless.

St Marys gynae is the worst! First I had reconstructive surgery after birth during a routine appt with an injection numbing the area and you can imagine the amount of blood left behind. I had to get up and walk those three flights of stairs in that bando looking building - for the junior to run after me and say I needed to walk back up and sign something. And then the same as you re my endo. My last appt the gynaecologist was huffing and puffing at me describing my pain and didn’t turn up to my online follow up appt. I’m saving up for going private.

I am so sorry you had to go through that. One thing i will always tell my fellow warriors is go private ON the NHS. Find yourself an endo specialist who takes NHS referrals. I went with Spire as im based in the midlands and its the closest to me. I had an amazing consultant who done an excision surgery. The process from referral to procedure was probably 8 months. Please Please Please abuse they resources that are available to you, they will never tell you but its there and readily available !!
