my dad has an ex wife. a current wife. 2 daughters and now a dog with a period. and he is still grossed out and acts like i shouldn't talk about it in public 💀 i think men and older generations need to get tf over it

my dad told me I had to keep quiet about it because it was gross. He also told me that my brother never needs to know about it. I moved out of his house at 11 to live with my mom.

I think not only does the women need to know about menstruation and pregnancy but man need to know too. He could assist their wife or daughters too when they need help. It's important to have that knowledge.

My brother was a single parent to my niece. He told her period blood made the bathroom stink. I sure he scarred her for life. He knew very little about women’s bodies. He also told me she couldn’t wear a tampon as a teen because she was a virgin. 😐

My dad said "oh god, here! This is something that you should only do at your mother's" when I got mine for the first time at 12. He told me to use toilet paper and dropped me off at my moms and said we would refigure visitation so I wouldn't have it at his house.
