See here’s my issue…. And it needs to be addressed. Drs need to find the root cause, they need to stop saying hashimotos and automatic Levo etc. I asked for labs and my dr said no. WHY!!! I’m asking for help. I’ve been on meds for 15yrs… I wanna know why and how I can help me. My dr only does tsh t4 testing…. That’s not enough

So I have normal tsh, t3 and t4. But tpo is high cause of Hashimotos. I ran out of my meds and I just got a new script. Yes we need to slowly get off the meds.

can confirm quit cold turkey because levo was effing me up my thyroid started to swell, it was hard to swallow, and all the other symptoms omg started armour and got better. still taking it but trying new supplements and fixed my eating hoping it starts to help soon

My new endo wanted me to stop levo cold turkey. ive been on it since I was 16 and im 31 now and switched from hypo to hyper. and i was like no way is that a good idea [Crying]

I just switched to armor and there was no downtime in between the meds however for the last 30 days or so I have cut out of sugar, gluten and dairy, and I feel so much better.

I was on 25 mcg of Levo for a longgg time and my doctor and I talked about trying 3-4 of not taking Levo to see how my body responds. Even though that’s a smaller dose should I still be concerned about going cold turkey???

Yes if your thyroid meds are off (if you stop taking it) your cholesterol will go way up!
