In Ireland we are advised not to add any cereal to bottles , suspect cause of cot death

Maybe mix some baby cereal with breast milk to fill them up before bed?

Unfortunately many pediatricians aren’t on board with giving babies rice cereal. They say that it can cause diabetes in children. But I have to say that my children and all of my friends kids have never had an issue and my children are now in their 20’s

Talk to your pediatrician. Don’t listen to us. You’ll get so many ideas thrown at you, it’ll confuse you.

You could try giving them half formula half breastmilk before they go down for the night. I know formula is more filling.

I started with baby oatmeal at 8 weeks. It’s easier on their tummies.

I’m dying to buy you a silicone spoon so it doesn’t hit the side of the French press

I think taking Cara babies or one of the sleep programs focuses on them getting enough ounces/breastmilk during the daytime hours to help sleep at night

I nursed and fed both my children warm rice cereal at night and in the morning at 3 months. Maybe 3 tablespoons or so. They only woke up 1 or 2 times to briefly nurse and get a diaper change. Morning naps were a solid 2-3 hours. They are now 50 and 47.with no issues whatsoever

I was 18 when I had my first back in the 1900s so I had my mom's advice and not a whole internet. Gave my son cereal in a bottle at 6 weeks and he had not a drop of breast milk because I just couldn't. He's almost 36 and is a police officer and cross fitter so it worked out. 🤣

Can you do a dream feed before you go to bed yourself to try and cut one of the wake up out? I seem to remember doing that around the 4 month mark!

I did rice cereal with a little Karo syrup and breast milk. Kept her full longer and honestly she slept better.

Watching this with my almost 4 month old at 3:30 am, he blew out his diaper and now can’t go back to sleep. He has started waking me up every two hours or less to eat. Turns out, it’s a huge growth spurt, he outgrew all of his clothes in two days. Maybe that’s all it is with your babies.

By chance, could it be the caffeine from the coffee? I know that missing coffee can be a lot when you need to function. Try cutting back, see how that works...for them. Or switching to decaf. Ugh, just the suggestion, I can't handle it.😁

Girl 25 years ago when I had my daughter she was 2 months old I was giving her baby cereal at night. I didn't breast feed but the formula wasn't enough for her. It was a game changer.
