Teacher here! Girl, I would agree, but we are indoors with the AC blasting 😂. And Unfortunately, a lot of families don’t have the luxury of air conditioning at home, so for a lot of children school is the better option than being home

Honestly, the school has air conditioner. I’m sick and would rather my son be at school 🤷‍♀️. They canceled outdoor activities and after school sports, I’m ok with that lol

Snow days are because the roads are closed due to inaccessibility because of snow. Heat isn’t the same. Mind you- I agree. No one is productive when you’re sweating bullets but that’s the reasoning. However I do remember getting dismissed early or having school events canceled because of extreme heat.
