@trishk32: This summer, I finally said it out loud: I’m in a lot of debt. And I need to fix it. I knew it before then, obviously. I saw the balances. I made the payments. I felt the stress. But there’s a difference between knowing you’re in a mess and actually admitting it—to yourself and out loud. For a while, it was easier to avoid looking at the whole picture. Because once you really look at it, you have to face it. And honestly? Admitting it was half the battle. I can’t change how I got here, but I can change what I do next. So this summer, I stopped hiding from the numbers and started my comeback. I’m still a LONG way from where I want to be. Some days I’m motivated. Some days I’m completely overwhelmed. But at least now I’m moving forward instead of pretending it’ll somehow work itself out.
