@edwinamartinarnold1: Yesterday, Bruun Idun and I bonded over the fact that we all have our bad feet days. 😂 But after learning more about her, I realized there’s much more to this beautiful lady than her seashell pedicure! Bruun Idun stands 15 feet tall in West Seattle’s Lincoln Park. Created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo from recycled and locally found materials, she has hair made from driftwood gathered along nearby beaches—and she plays her flute to the orcas in Puget Sound. She’s a reminder that something beautiful, powerful, and magical can be created from pieces the world might have overlooked. And honestly, isn’t that true for us too?
