Yep they don’t relate to you as a person. They have a representation in their head. It’s kind of scary actually. Feels like they’re looking right through you. Very uncanny 😰

I dealt with this for 2 years. I thought I was going crazy. This makes me feel seen just for a few seconds 😩 none of my needs, feeling, emotions were ever validated! But he expected to have the same boring seggs whenever he wanted to. No intimacy at all. I’m so glad I walked away!

Ugh are there any normal people out there anymore? Last one I had to learn what narcissism actually meant. This time I didn’t see any of those red flags so I thought I had someone normal. Nope. Now I have a dismissive avoidant. And the issue with this is the difference between a narc and a DA is intent. So it’s really hard to walk away from a DA knowing that they don’t have bad intent, so you feel like one day they’ll really want to change and work on it, so you always have hope, knowing that it’s not that they actually want to hurt you.
