I’m north of 600 kits. I also own a house and unless you go into my office or attic you’d never know I do Gunpla. The argument I never understand is that the boxed kit takes away from another builder, because buying and building it immediately does the same thing. I get enjoyment by having the kit and not having to search for it later. Let’s not even talk about video games

my backlog is only ~70 because I didn't start putting anything together until about 3-4 months ago after 10 years of collecting, I also have a wife and a career and I stream, game and do Gunpla as a hobby, life has to come first along with my families needs, I also take a few weeks to do a kit, some I only do on stream so that some regulars can have a chance to also see the kit be built (my wife also collects and builds 😅)

sometimes a kit comes out and you FOMO for good reason and then still don't have time to build it. no blame whatsoever for anyone like that. also it's still a collectable in the box. idk I just think if it's enough of them put them in a closet or tote but otherwise non-issue.

I didnt understand backlogs for the longest time... I built kits the day i got them... I get it now. mine is 10 deep and it just kinda happened

A Warhammer fan here, I’m backlog is crazy, not counting painting the stuff too. I am making an effort, like I’m painting a kit that released basically a year ago, but it hurts when I can only put like 30 mins a day into finishing it

I’m at about 50 kits in my backlog currently. The more I’ve built, the longer I take to build. I’m also currently working on a PG. specifically the second biggest PG that Bandai has released, so there’s that.
