@thegcinco: 🐐 THE GOAT!!!! The Game — “Wouldn’t Get Far” Produced by Kanye West AKA Ye 🎚️🔥 Before he became YE, before the fashion, before the stadiums, before all the headlines… Kanye was a producer trying to get his beats in the hands of the GREATS. And this is one of those beats that reminds you why he was different. That soulful sample. That hypnotic loop. Those drums sitting perfectly underneath it. It’s simple, but ridiculously effective. Kanye knew how to take a piece of music, find the soul in it, and turn it into something completely different. And the crazy part? The beat was reportedly originally intended for Common — and if The Game passed on it, Kanye said he would’ve used it himself. (Wikipedia) But The Game got it… and “Wouldn’t Get Far” became one of those records where the production immediately grabs your attention. This is Kanye the PRODUCER. Before the name Ye became bigger than the music, there was a dude in the lab who just wanted to make beats good enough for the artists he looked up to. 🎚️ Sample selection. 🥁 Drums. 🎹 Soul. 🧠 PURE KANYE. THE GOAT. 🐐 #TheGame #KanyeWest #Ye #HipHopProduction #SampleFlip
