Also remember that most 24g can still handle 1000-1200ml/hr. Perfect for our outpatient, routine nfusions. Just like you said, match that gauge to the patient.

with the drip bag ive seen a 22 flow like that 16 was and I had to slow it down was a dehydrated old lady. also ive only ever put a 24 in babies my go to is a 20 or 22. 18 is my trauma and in my service thr 14 are chest decompression tubes
