Women’s health nurse here Genital herpes is nothing to be ashamed of. ❤️It is a very common virus, and having it does not say anything about your character, your cleanliness, or your worth. In the U.S., about 1 in 8 have HSV-2, and many people who have it don’t even know because they have few to no symptoms. You are still deserving of love, intimacy, and a healthy relationship and I’m glad you have that 🤍 normalizing common conditions helps other girls feel safe so thank you!

Microbiologist and HSV is a sleeper virus and contracted in more ways than one.. which a lot seem to think, is only by sleeping around? You can have it your entire life and not have a flare until 20s,30s,40, Nursing Home.. it’s common. Don’t be rude when you probably don’t know you have it too.. because FYI, you have to ask for that testing; it is not on the standard STD panel.
