Should You Take a Fat Burner? I’m an IFBB Natural Wellness Pro. And I don’t have a supplement sponsor. Which is probably a good thing, because I’m about to tell you why I don’t think most people need a fat burner. Most fat burners are just expensive caffeine with a really good marketing department. You take it. You get hot. You sweat. Your heart rate goes up. And you think, *holy shit, this must be working.* Maybe. But probably not in the way you think. There is a thermogenic effect from some of these ingredients. It’s just… really small. And your body adapts to stimulants pretty quickly. So that insane feeling you get the first few days? Gone. But now you’re taking the same thing every morning because you’ve convinced yourself you need it. Let’s actually look at some of the ingredients. **L-carnitine.** The mechanism makes sense. But oral absorption is poor. You’re not getting the same physiological effect as an injection. So if you’re buying a fat burner because you think the L-carnitine is going to melt body fat… That’s not really what’s happening. **Bitter orange.** The research doesn’t show meaningful improvements in body composition. And prolonged use can increase blood pressure. So you’re essentially paying money to make yourself more stimulated. **Green tea extract.** There may be a small effect. But we’re talking roughly a kilogram over a few months. And if your goal is a dramatic change in your physique, that isn't the lever I would be pulling. **Cayenne?** This one actually does have a measurable thermogenic effect. Across the research, it consistently shows up. And do you know how many extra calories that gets you? About 34 a day. Thirty-four. Meanwhile, your body uses significantly more energy digesting protein. A high-protein meal can require roughly 70 calories just to process. So the thing you’re already supposed to be eating more of… has a larger thermic effect than the expensive fat-burning supplement. That’s the point. I’m not saying supplements don't work. I'm saying **you need to understand what job they're actually doing.** Because fat loss is not a supplement problem. It’s an environment problem. Your training. Your protein intake. Your total energy intake. Your sleep. Your stress. Your recovery. Your ability to actually do the same things long enough for your body to respond. Those are the things that changed my physique. Not a magic powder. I built muscle. I kept it. I ate enough protein. I used caffeine when it was useful. I slept. I managed my recovery. And I gave it time. A lot of time. And honestly? The older I get, the more I realize that getting leaner is often about doing **less stupid shit**, not adding more. More cardio. More stimulants. Less food. More supplements. Less sleep. More stress. That's not a fat-loss strategy. That's just digging yourself into a deeper hole. Now, if taking a pre-workout gets you into the gym on a day you would have otherwise skipped? Great. That's useful. But be honest about what you're buying. You're not buying a fat-loss mechanism. You're buying a ritual that helps you train. And that's completely fine. Because fat loss isn't something you chase with a bottle. It's the result of creating the right conditions… and doing that consistently. If there were a pill that could replace that? Trust me. I'd tell you. There isn't. for coaching support on what actually works, a.k.a. building quality lien, muscle tissue, comments 💪🏻 #FatBurn#FatBurnert#BurnFats
