I wish I could go back to my college days. I would start taking ADHD medication and complete my accounting degree instead of settling for general business. My marketing professor had only worked as a salesman at Montgomery Ward, while my economics and finance professor sold machine tools and worked as a Xerox salesman—roles that didn't even require a college degree. Another management professor had simply served in the Navy. The accounting professors were the only faculty members who had actually applied their degrees while working at CPA firms. After job hopping I became a middle school math teacher at 32.
