you have a good point but as someone who never uses generative ai, it is just really easy to sus it out 😭😭 i see it so much on places like twitter and reddit that you can begin to understand the way things like chatgpt use lexicon and punctuation to a point that it is easy to identify. by seeing it time and time again, you develop a way of spotting it easily

AI always uses too em dashes like this— the punctuation is always perfect, and i think we all know most people can’t do that. it has a certain way of paraphrasing everything. like with apologies it’ll be like “I understand how this affected you” it’s just ridiculously business professional to put it.

Some is easy to spot some isn’t, when it comes to text if it sounds repetitive and the sentence structure is very robotic I know it’s ai, if it comes off more like a list rather than a human thought process I know it’s most likely ai, but you can’t always tell and it’s frustrating and ai checkers are ai looking for ai.

because educated people see strange formatting from a mile away. AI uses data from everywhere including things like YouTube and reddit that dont have proper spelling and dont use the correct formats, and maybe leave spaces or misinformation. thats how they know. it doesnt look human. it's like when you look at someone in a dream, and it feels real, but it doesnt look quite right. you know something is wrong, but maybe it takes you a minute to realise you're dreaming. they do that, but with words
