This is my mom Heather, she struggles with a terminal illness and is on dialysis 4-5 times a week 2-3 hours at a time due to stage 5 kidney disease (end stage renal failure) her levels are always sky rocketed and blood pressure is through the roof. The doctors call her a walking miracle. She has recently suffered a stroke and multiple hospital stays these past few months. Her SSI and disability got cut off due to an error for her address so she has to make an appeal to get that put back on. She has 3 minor children at home (14,15,16) and 2 adult children who try to help the best they can (my brother and I). She is on home dialysis and can not be put onto the donor list because of how high her blood pressure runs (at least 300/250 most times) which disqualifies her from being put under for the surgery for a long period of time. It is very life threatening for her due to her health. She got diagnosed 3 years ago and has been a fighter ever since. Before she got diagnosed she was an outgoing, funny, courageous, and strong willed individual. She has been really drained and having to do things on her own is very hard and a struggle for her. Even day to day things such as dishes, laundry, cooking dinner, etc. she could really use some help along the way as she is going though struggles financially as stated above. She is 45 years old and should still have time to live her life comfortably. This illness has taken a lot from her life and her children do nothing but worry and hope she comes home from the hospital visits and hope she wakes up every morning. This post is for nothing but getting her story out there to reach people who are maybe going through the same things as our family is and hopefully make a difference in her life. I have a link in my bio where you can read a little more in depth of the situation if you’re wanting to. Any shares or reposts are absolutely appreciated. Thank you for letting me speak about her as she means so much to me. #kidneydisease #fyp #journey #healing
