I really hate how ever since star rail genshin lost its medieval fantasy vibe and very quickly started becoming a futuristic fantasy game. Sumeru with the ‘Akasha’ was the beginning of the downfall in terms of the tech

Tbh i think that vibe came back in Snezhnaya. Its so whimsical especially its its lore because of all the fantastical creatures there.

I think the problem isn't the technology itself, but how they implemented it, by putting motorcycles or DJs in the scene just like in real life. It would have been better if they had implemented the same thing but in a different form, like the Akashas

The dragons being known to be crazy in their tech and AI, mind you, the dragons went to the moon as researchers, and after the war with Phanes, all the remaining dragons went to Natlan. It's a no brainer that the land of dragons and war will be crazy in their tech. They'd rather use their tech to build weapons for the war, that's why the contrast between tribes and tech is visible.

hate how modern everything became. yeah tech has always been in the game but like, it was old themed tech and mostly fantasy. now we have robo girls, guns, industrial areas etc etc. like nod krai as an example: I LOVED lumas island or flins graveyard etc and also the area with the favonius camp but HATED the city and that giant round area. honestly this is my main reason why my favorite areas are mondstadt, liyue and inazuma and kinda sumeru and sumeru is already cutting it. snezhnaya and fontaine are also fine but I fckikg hate how modern everything is. cameras? okay. magic ear pieces? okay. a motorcycle?? hell nah.

concept went downhill since fontaine and I will die on this hill. akasha sumeru made sense as it was a nation of wisdom PLUS it still had that medieval fantasy game style with the desert and forest. fontaine was the beginning of the downfall
