Oh I LOVE these nurses. Had bloodwork I needed done today and had THAT nurse. Told her I was extremely needle phobic and have seizures from past bloodwork. And looked at me “so you want to lay down? Like what do you want me to do with that info?” Get me the BEST nurse to do a quick stick.. not cause me to panic

As a SLE patient please trust they’re not drug seeking.imagine your bones are filled with broken glass and your skin has been brushed with burning oil. All while so fatigued you can barely hold your head up. It is miserable and when it flares nothing really touches it. Bless the nurses who do the job because we love it.

To be fair as a night shift nurse I’m not moving a day one post op especially a broken leg? Not lazy just cautious because I’m not having them fall absolutely not especially because there’s probably no crutches/walkers etc. on the unit. the rest is crazy work

during report a pt saline bag was empty, I asked the nurse to switch the beg before leaving bc I still needed report from 3 more patients, and it should have already been replaced prior to shift change. instead she turned it off and left. the Dr came in while I was getting report in my other rooms and called safety on me. 🤡 but she got written up, not me. BTW the pt had Rhabdo.
