The fact that there are so many comments saying they didn’t know water was there is SCARY. That means yall dont pay attention to detail or your surroundings because no matter which way you drive you’re going to see the water. And even sometimes a big boat. Ans especially in the day time.

my cousin drowned in that river in 2022🥺 may they rest in peace. so unfortunate. they need to barricade that area or something, put up a huge sign idk but this can’t keep happening.

They had to have been going so fast. I drive this route every day and everybody takes this corner slow. You can see the river driving down the street. It’s very visible.

Over a year ago, I called the alderman’s office to make a complaint on the condition of the area. Maybe everyone under this post can do the same and we will get consistent results. There is no reason the foliage in that area should be so tall.
