@financein90s: Trump, Peter Thiel, Nancy Pelosi, David Tepper, and the company’s own CEO all bought $VST this year. I bought $10,500 of it last week with a blended average $139.63. If you’re following the AI Infrastructure story, then you know energy constraints are a big story. $VST is a way to get exposure to the upside on the incoming energy wave needed to power AI. Vistra trades around 10x EV/EBITDA and 16x 2026 earnings, and neither multiple reflects the Cogentrix acquisition or the hyperscaler deals. Vistra is the largest competitive power generators in the US across its different sources (gas, nuclear, coal, solar, etc.) CEO Jim Burke bought 8,665 shares across three open-market transactions over the past two weeks, roughly $1.2M, near 52-week lows. Tepper, who’s crushed the S&P over 3 decades - doubled his position in the last year. What I don't like: heavy regulatory scrutiny, a commoditized market with real pricing risk, data center delays that would hit growth, catastrophic weather exposure, and profitability you have to jump through hoops to figure out.
